Righty. I'm now definitely coming. Probably just stay on night one and head back night two depending on how much riding we do on day two. I've messaged Jestington to see if he has space in his room on night one. If not I will book a separate room. For those travelling from up North, it would be good to join the trail en route down. I'm in Huddersfield so happy to link-up anywhere around here or Leeds etc.

Ill be heading down from Guiseley, so if you want to meet up let me know,
add me on skype if you have it
skype : carlsant1

Route looks great!

I'm thinking about getting to CMC a bit earlier, probably around half 11.

Chessecake, did everyone reply to your messages? Have we got a list of confirmed so we don't end up leaving someone behind?

I really hope this doesn't affect us. Sounds like strike action is being timed to disturb the Easter weekend.

There all ready stockpiling, and the army are on standy to drive tankers if they do go on strike. If anything it'll mean less people drive, so less traffic!!

There not planning blockades like 2000 I don't think.

I'm going to try and stay positive!

How are the garages around near you? All sold out by me today. Is there a safe way of carrying some spare fuel on each bike in addition to the full tank?

People are panic buying, they should see sense next week some time.... Hopefully

I Thought about bringing a Gerry can of fuel strapped to the grab rail.... Can't see that happening in reality.

Everybody panic buying near me, took ages to get fuel yesterday. Had to go to the really expensive station and it still took me a while.

Not coming to the meet, but carrying extra petrol onboard a bike really isn't the greatest idea, a small crash could easily turn into a fireball!

I suspected that would be the obvious answer CBB but these guys who do the long distance touring do have containers of fuel in case they run out.

How many times do you fill up over 2 days?

Most bikes now or from what ive seen people comming on, will do 130+ to a tank some 125's 180+ i dont think anyone is traveling 360+ miles to the meet.

Your riding between towns & theres more than 1 petrol station in a town.

If you run out, what the heck, its a laugh. Someone will go fill a can up for you, then look back on it as a laugh.

If you start to ride fuel efficient you will wreck your trip.

Now shut up & ride.

Im doing 600 miles, seriously though, this isn't going to be a problem. Its Union scaremongering. If they wanted to strike, they would have set a date by now.
