Sorry don't know how i missed this, but unfortunately not, haven't got the money too after coming back :/ I'll meet you guys on the A303 ride for a few miles then say good bye :)

That's a shame, though I'm sure going to the IoM was worth missing this 100x over.
Will be good to meet, even if briefly, though.

So! How organised is everyone? How far on the packing/organising stage are you guys?

I haven't even unpacked my tent to check the condition ... Don't even know where it is if I'm honest. And I still haven't devised a way of attaching anything to the back of my bike :)

You need to get on it!
Ive had to buy a new tent, bought a few other bits, fitted solar panel and power leads. Arranged box of things im taking. Just need to sort out clothes nearer the time and do a run through of loading it up a few days before. Less than 4wks to go :D

Pretty much same - most of my stuff is on it's last legs so needed replacing, and I've never done it by bike before. I didn't fancy attempting to take my old pop-up on the back!

All I need is a chair and I'm done!

As it was said before with everyone being too far up Norf, for me, everyone's too far down south! I know that it's looking a bit far into the future but the first time I would be able to go with you guys on one of these trips, and trust me, I would love to, would be in a couple of years, purely because I'm all the way up in Durham and I don't really have the resources to make a 1000 mile round trip (near enough) at the moment and it's a crying shame :cry: but I'm sure I'd be able to join you guys if you're having a trip that spans over a few days like this one in the not too distant future.

Well a trip north shouldnt be out of the question, we'll see how this one goes and plan from there. We hold regular Northants ride outs which arent too far south ;)

That should be cool then, and in which case I'd be able to go much sooner as long as its a relaxed ride staying off the motorways as I should have my A1 license by may next year. Even if I can only join you for a little bit, it would still be a lot better than staying at home, hell, anything is better than staying at home if its on two wheels :lol:

Ditch that maglite and get a P7 LED LENSER :p

Bikes in for a service tomoz, although its looking more likely tyres and brake pads might be needed before hand. Kit to take wise im sorted. Could leave today :D

Mine's going in Wednesday - but it's more of a 'make sure the engine hasn't rattled its self apart over the last 6000 miles'. I'm deffo going to need a new front tyre before we go too :?

Also - have ordered a USB plug to bike battery (or, the other way round!), which should arrive next week :)

I'm not going to this camping meet up, but...

as I was wild camping in Scotland recently I've learnt a few things so I can suggest the following:

- pack something that will keep you entertained in the moments that there is nobody to talk to: iPad, Nintendo etc.
- you probably will have electricity in the camping sites but if not ensure that your under-seat USB charger charges the stuff you take with you. I learnt the hard way, didn't test it and it was charging my Drift Ghost, but it didn't want to charge my Galaxy S4 mobile phone, so I was without the phone quickly (take spare battries)
- insect repellents are a must
- no such thing as too many bungee straps
- not so much as with a pillion but loaded panniers, tent, and all other camping stuff add weight to the rear so your bike may behave differently i.e. run wide into turns.

Murkleman6 is camping as well, a few names have said theyll either join us on Saturday for the Cornish coast tour and a few for the Sunday. We'll see who actually turns up :)

Should be a decent amount amount of people going then. I doubt very many people would pass up the opportunity.

Can EVERYONE riding down to Cornwall send me their email address directly please, either via FB, motovlog, yt, twitter or by email (this is easier for me) to twisty@gmx.co.uk That way I can ensure everyone has the same current info for the trip and has read it. Fankoo
