Windows Live Movie Maker, Free to download from Windows Hotmail. I used this for about a year very straight forward to use. :)

I've been having trouble with WMM, the audio seems to come in about 2 seconds after the video, I don't know whether this is because it's saved as a .mov and not wma but there's no way I know of that I can change it.

So I downloaded videopad and none of the files will open when I click add media, argh!

i used to use windows movie maker 2.6 loved that program untill i bought a contour and it wouldent open mov =[ now falling for avs its awesome i find it easyer to use then vagas XD

I use Premiere, not a noobs video editor but took the jump as though it would be a skill good to develop. Bit harder than I though at first but now find it easy and so much more powerful if you require it to be. Also easy to jump between after effects also ;)

Now to learn after effects!

The only decent video editor is openshot. Cinelerra, though more featured, is entirely impossible to use unless you are trying to learn studio production. Apple iMovie is supposed to be good too.

I used to use Final Cut Pro.... WHAT THE F*** was that all about!?!?!?!

Know I use Final Cut Pro X.......

That was a step in the right direction for me :D :D :D :D

Now I can make lots of pretty videous without pulling out my hair to make me look old and stressed :)

i use Power director 8.

Its not too bad, few things i still have to learn on editing but quite simple.

as it has wizzards for alot of the stuff, audio syncs fine and can open any videos

I have powerdirector9. Got a copy of Sony Vegas 11 cos I wanna use twixtor but it's SOOO confusing and I normally love gadgets and tech. PD9 is straight forward but you can do stuff without it becoming too overwhelming.

Any of these Mac friendly? Final Cut is way to advanced for me at this stage in the game and I feel iMovie is to basic. Anyone have a nice middle of the road program for us Apple users?

Sony vegas studio is what i use.. It was pretty confusing at first, but after making a few videos and watching tutorials on youtube, I got a hang of it.
