A Little Challenge....

I know @lupin has a goal of 1k subs, obvs we all want our channels to grow so how about we look to 2018 as the year we help each other to grow? It doesn't take much, just a mention of another motovlogger in your video and then add a link to them in the description, and you can even add them into the annotations at the end of the video. Now am not suggesting you promote a channel or video that you don't like, so if a youtuber has a specific video you enjoy, why not discuss that in your video and link to it at the end?
So how about from Jan 1st 2018 we make a concerted effort to introduce a motovlog.com motovlogger to our own viewers in a video at least once a month throughout 2018. I've already started, and I do not do so expecting those I mention to introduce me to their viewers, it should be on the basis of if you actually like their content, think it would appeal to your viewers, etc.
@Make Rides has shown keen to help promote the smaller youtubers too.
We have some larger channels on here too.... now I know they are going to be inundated with promotion requests, but it'd be so cool if they could help out a small channel too. RJ does a feature on the end of each of his vids, not asking for that, just bring the channel up in the discussion in your video, then link to them or the specific video you enjoyed at the end and in the description.
I am not gonna ask who is up for this as it will possibly create a restricted network, so if you are subbed to folk on here and enjoy their stuff..... promote them, you don't need to even let them know you have done so as that will also encourage us to watch each others videos to see if we are featured! :)
What are folks thoughts?

I think you and I had a really good response with the Tea Totaling Time concept @HippoDrone so, how about we open that avenue up to others to participate along the lines of your challenge? Since we are co-creators, anyone that is interested can go with one or both of us. Plus we can feature other small motovloggers we find floating around the cyberspace.

PLUS, we could offer the title and format to anyone wanting to adapt it to their own use AFTER we do an episode with them, kind of a jump off point to it becoming a meta-tag like VidIQ thinks it is:

I have a list of a few folks I would love to feature but I would rather do a sit down style video vs. just introducing the audience to Jane Doe and a clip show of theirs.

What say ye scurvy motovloggers? @HippoDrone and I have chatted on another venue and there are so many of you out there that could be a guest that 12 monthly episodes by just one person may not cover it all.

Got here thanks to Hippodrone.

The views aren't problem.
The number of subs is.

And they have picked that number to prevent all copycats and maybe remove those channels.
Then again, some of those channels have 10.000+ subs, so it isn't hurting them...

Just need to find a way to up the subs.
So we shall look into YT SEO and maybe some shoutout collaborations or something like that.

Ofcourse there are many ways of doing this.
I like the simple shout out version, because that way it is on a voluntary basis and it gives you the choice which channel you want to see growing.
I know a vlogger who "interviewed" different vloggers, and in that way got their audience to know them a bit more.
The vlogger that got interviewed then asked their own qeustions to let their audience meet the "interviewer".
Which was create way to spread the viewers of different channels.

Gonna look into the "Tea Totaling Time" that @R-Rated mentioned.

And still waiting for the Solarbear, which always is a great way to give shout-out for this forum and some of it users ;)

You are going to love the next installment that @HippoDrone and I have coming out soon!

It was so good, we made a special episode about the very special episode so folks can choose how much awesome tipsy chitchat they like best.

Keep an eye open...

I never even thought about the featured channels. Going to add some of you to them.

Definitely think its a good idea to get some cross videos going, even if its a chat on the same topic (new bike coming out or anything).

Still have to watch the first one.
I'm guessing it is on one of your guys channels?

Yeah, we each post a version of the real one. Then this last time we ran into so much IT issues that our minds were fried. I think at one point @HippoDrone walks out of the camera shot and placed a body double during my closing. :p

We actually went way long on purpose with episode 3. So after hitting my head on the table during uploading, I made episode 3.5 for giggles.

So, I have seen a couple of you have actually mentioned other channels from on here in some videos and shared links to their channels or specific videos, but there was a lot of folk up for it yet not many have actually done it. It is all very well doing a sub4sub thing on here (not that I do that) but that will get you just a handful of new subs, and they probably won't even watch any of your videos, which kinda destroys the point. Now if you actively promote other content creators that you enjoy watching, then I am sure some of your viewers would like their content too.
I joined this forum to be part of a community, that helps each other out regarding editing questions or hardware issues and for sharing experiences, not just videos. I have met and chatted with some awesome people from on here in the short time I have been a part of motovlog.com and have been introduced to some fantastic motovloggers in the process.
I'm not asking you to promote my channel, in fact, I'd rather you didn't as I would only want people to do so if they really enjoyed my content. I am asking you to follow through with you saying you were up for promoting each other, promoting the creators on here that you enjoy to help them get a little more exposure. It might not propel them to the dizzy heights of Jake on two Dans but every little helps the smaller creator. how about it? :-)

Good idea! I've been planning on doing a year in review post to commemorate my first year as a blogger. In it I was going to give a shout out to my favorite vloggers, and of course mention this site as well as it's been instrumental in my growth and development as a vlogger, editor and cinematographer.

Has any thought be put into creating a dedicated Motovlog.com YouTiube page where we can promote favorite vloggers that we mention here on this site as well?

Nice shoutout to a lot of the members of this forum in your latest video buddy! :-)

Thanks Hippo. Everyone well deserved being mentioning and I apologize if I forgot anyone as well. I only wish I could have posted in sooner (like in January).

Thanks for watching.
