Just stick to 1080p60fps especially for riding videos. You really need the higher fps for the motion. Plus 4k is overkill for internet videos and you aren't getting any real advantage from using it.
Also like the above mentioned post you will drop to 30fps at night to capture more light. The gopro hero 4 will self adjust for this when shooting in high frame rates.
