2013 Honda CBR500R Review
Hi All,

Managed to get my backside on the newest model that Honda have got.
This bike only landed on Australian shores last week (typical Australia)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pFsezNTvlE

I don't go into much depth as it's a new bike and don't want to crash it haha.

and if someone counts how many times I say "I like this bike" or variations of that statement, I will feature you in my next video ;)

Re: 2013 Honda CBR500R Review

Challenge accepted!

You say I like/love the bike 21 times.
You say good job Honda with the bike twice
You say you like the comfort twice
And you say you like the clutch once and the dash once.

I was rendering a video so had some time to burn hahaha.

Re: I'm so lonely

Man when will the record companies wake up? Why can't it be when you download something from iTunes it gives you the right to monetize

If you worked hard on making a peice of music, putting the band together, getting a label, marketing your band etc.. would YOU want other people to automatically have the right to make money off your hard work?

Re: I'm so lonely

Long as I got my royalties I wouldn't mind. That's the thing when we buy music online nowadays it should be licensed so we can use it.

You can, its called a commercial licence and costs a heck of a lot more.

When you buy music online you're paying for the right to listen to that music. You're not paying for the right to use it in your own work that you're distributing and profiting from. Movie studios pay hundreds, often thousands of dollars to use each song in their movies. Why should you get to use the same music because you paid 99¢? If they let you use their music for 99¢ it's going to be very hard to justify charging thousands when Steven Spielberg or Peter Jackson come knocking.

Honestly I think more music studios should get on board with Youtube and allow people to use their music. There are already a lot that do but its so hard to tell what is ok to use and what isn't that it's almost better just to use none.

I work for a large media company and I can tell you that most of the time their thinking on things like this is assbackwards and outdated. They used to get paid ridiculous amounts of money for very crappy work and now that things aren't in their favor so much they'll do everything they can to squeeze as much as they can out of every turd in their possession. Sometimes their greed even keeps them from making money because they avoid things like Youtube. I often find music on Youtube that I would never have found any other way and then I buy it. In the end though it's their property and their decision. I'm sure you would get pretty pissed off if someone copied one of your videos and profited from it without telling you and giving you a cut.

Re: I'm so lonely

I agree with kryten, they should look at it as free publicity.
Are the rules different if you haven't monetized your site?

Re: I'm so lonely

I just use royalty free music that I enjoy. I also happen to seek out royalty free music for casual listening as well. It turns out there are a lot of very talented people making music who have yet to be discovered. If you give them credit for their work it benefits you both...

Re: I'm so lonely

Yes I'm aware you only pay for the right to listen BUT there should be an option if you pay a higher fee (not too much though) when you download it should come with a licence to re produce for this. Yes I use Creative Commons music which so far I have found some great stuff but there are those mainstream songs that we just have the perfect idea for and that would be awesome to set them to our videos. And like I said above as long as I got my royalties if someone used my work I'm ok with it* but if copyright was breached of course I would be pissed but hey it's a drum that has been beaten often enough for us all to know.

People keep saying this, but i dont really understand it. Especially on youtube. Youtube advertising is (currently) effectively endless. If my video is taken by someone else, and they monetise it, I loose nothing. In fact, I may make extra if people watch it there, then come looking for the original. And music on youtube... how many people ask "what song is that?" and then go and buy it once they know. Its like free advertising.
I think people in general are just a bit greedy. Think about how Justin Beiber has made $100m, his record label probably made 10x that and then they go ballistic because someone bought the music and used it on a youtube video to make $8. This jelousy/powerhunger, or what ever it is, is what starts wars.
P.S. feel free to exploit any of my footage (although I doubt it will make you anything).

Hmmm... sorry for the thread hijack, but I didnt start it!

Re: I'm so lonely

all good guys, post's are relevant to the copyrighted music side of things.

I personally those that sound because it was a mash up of various songs. (thought it would pass the copyrighted music screen) but noooooo.
