Grabbing a handful of brakes is going to be instinctive when someone pulls out in front of you. Practice emergency braking somewhere safe and try to use two fingers everytime you brake the bike to develop muscle memory.

Best piece of advice one could give to ANYONE that participates in traffic. I can't count the times they miss my car, and I don't drive econoboxes either.

And yep nobody sees you on the road. My concern nowadays is I see a spate of drivers who driving the car comes second to what they are actually doing.
