New Kid On The Block

Hi everyone! My name is Mathew, and I am a brand-spankin'-new motovlogger (haven't even done my first vlog due to camera issues). I live in a particularly boring part of Iowa and I ride a Suzuki SV650 that I intend to start touring on this summer. I am obsessed with all things motorcycle, and ride as much or more than I drive during the summer months. If anyone wants to talk bikes, I'll probably end up joining in! I hope to get my first vlog up in a few weeks, just depends on how long it takes for my new drift camera to get here!

Cheers!

Welcome :) ! Where abouts are you over there in Iowa :o ? I'm just over the boarder in Nebraska :p . Can't say that Iowa (and Nebraska >_> ) is all of that boring :p ... it's prettier than some of the places that people think are great on the coasts ;) ! That's really the great part about being fly-over country :D - it's all ours :D hahah!

Will you be making your way over here this summer, maybe :) ??? Anywho, welcome again ^_^ !

The name Matthew also! definitely will get a sub from me ^_^ welcome to MotoVlog, the land of hope and dreams and weirdos talking to themselves! :D enjoy your stay!

I probably could at some point! It's only about a 4 hour ride from me (I live very close to cedar rapids) to omaha. I'd be happy to do a couple day ride over there if you have some fun roads! I think Mid America is right on the border, and I was thinking about seeing a race there this summer also.

That'd be cool to do a meet-up :D !... unfortunately, though, our roads are the most boring in the world ~_~ ... straight as an arrow :p . Within the city, they're fun to dodge around on :p ... there are a couple outside of the city that have a few curves and are all pretty, but they're pretty short ~_~ .

Ah well, maybe we can figure out something before summer rolls around :) ;) ... and maybe we can both meet at the race, too, to have some fun :) . I'd be more than happy to have you over here anytime ^_^ ! Hit me up on the PM sometime... sound good :o ?

Sounds good! I plan on going to the Indianapolis MotoGP also if I can manage it. I know it's quite a bit longer ride for you, but it'd be pretty fun!

Welcome to the Forum!!

The Sv650 is a great bike. I'm actually wanting a SV650 myself as a second bike. A supermoto only gets you so far without feeling pain.

...ah, I would love to so much one day :o ... unfortunately, being a stay-at-home dad for 80% of the time, I'm just lucky to get out on the bike the way it is ~_~ . One day, though, it'll be my turn to go cross-country :D !... if the ol' ball and chain lets me :p heh~

Until then, I have to stay pretty local :( >_> ~_~ .....

Be careful though. If you are looking for a really comfortable bike, you could do better than the SV. The seat is absolutely terrible for any more than about 60 miles. I recently took it to an upholstery shop and they shaved the edges out and added some foam. It is a bit more comfortable, but I think eventually I will have to drop a few hundred on a Sargent or Corbin. I plan on doing some very long rides on it, butt-ache or no. haha.

And as for the rest of the bike, I absolutely love it. I will be doing a review on it whenever I can afford my next helmet camera. I ride it pretty much every day.

Also, I really freaking want a Supermoto to add to the stable!

Well, maybe I'll ride out and see what Nebraska is all about sometime! Cheers, and when I get my first vlog out I'll post in here to let you all know.
