Another One From Toronto...

Heya guys!

I've been following the motovlogging community and its members since last September and have come to the conclusion that this is something that I would like to make a genuine attempt at doing. I'm going to have to learn allot of new skills to be successful. But I don't plan on quitting my day job for motovlogging, I just want to push myself and see what I am capable of.

I'm based out of Toronto, Canada and have lived in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) for 38 years. Married, kid moved out this past summer. I've been part of the Software Development industry for the last 17 years. I've been a big gamer PC gamer for all my life, never really got into consoles all that much even though I had one or two of them. During the summer, I do allot of my non-commute riding up by my families cottage a couple hours north of Toronto.

I'm currently selling my mid-90 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 and have picked up a 2010 Susuki V-Strom 650 ABS. Only got to ride the V-Strom for a couple weeks before the city starting aggressively salting the streets, so I am very much looking forward to the next season. I enjoyed the change from a cruiser style bike. I am also going to pick up a dirt bike for this coming season and try that for the first time, might make for a 'fun' motovlogging experience.

While I don't currently have any videos yet, I just wanted to start getting involved more into the community over the winter. I will be starting with a GoPro HERO 3+ Silver.

Thanks! I've noticed that Toronto and Alberta seem to have the most Canadian motovloggers. Would be interesting to see one from other areas of the country.

Yeah. I went by happo2000 back then. I wasen't part of any competitions or anything, but I was really awesome with the flak cannon in UT. I'm dropping the 2000 from the nick now because people are starting to think that it is my birth year.

I still play UT2004 on occasion . I started getting getting golfer's elbow playing it so much, so I've been off for about a year ... that and also my work does it to me ~_~ . Good times, good times .

Oh, and I go by the name of Shaman in the game. Everyone takes it the wrong way, though .....

...you forget, though, that computers back then were a bit slower, so something like UT2004 was a big load on them . Gameplay was jerky at times (not to mention loading times ~_~ ...)~

You'd also be old enough to remember Sim City 2000, right ?

True that about the speed of games on newer hardware.

I remember the original SimCity too. But I didn't really play them all that much, wasent really into the sim games back then. Although I remember enjoying SimAnt gameplay. Been gaming since the 80's, starting out on an Atari and Commodore 64.

Ah, I had an Atari back in the '80's, too !... too bad my parents made me sell it and all of the games for .75¢ at a garage sale ~_~ . It'd be worth a fortune now-a-days >< !



The Commodore 64 was ok... I just had the CPU, though .....

...oh, and I forgot about SimLife that we used to get to play back in middle school ... always loved turning reproduction up to 100% - so many "ooh-la-las" >< ~
