Welcome to the best site in the world my friend

I'm just wondering - what are you after from Dan? hee hee

Welcome Phil, good to see another scooterist. Not enough of us, and these jarheads don't realise the benefits. Mine's only a tiddler compared to yours - fnaar fnaar - but I may upgrade the Fly at some point.

Just watched your vid Phil and was wondering - nah, I'm not going to say it, I'll rephrase - where is your camera?

On a second point, see that video in the right hand side frame? You may fancy a crack at it.

Welcome aboard haha :P

Hey and welcome :) ! No putting down Vespas ;) ... I'm always hoping that my wife will start riding one someday :) (of course, I always can, too ;) ~).....

Do you know that you have two channels in existence :o ??? The other one hasn't been updates in two years and has a Road King in it I believe :o ? Also, it looks like you play some dulcimers, right :) . My all-time favorite dulcimer tape/CD is this one:

One again, welcome to a best group of guys and gals who ride ^^ !

Hey RoninK6,

Tease all you want about the Vespa, if you run out of ammo, there is the Can-Am to target. Been busy with my Bobber project, nothing fun to watch, fitting the front end together. Yes, two channels... not really my doing, I figure the integration of Google+ was the cause. I uploaded a video one day, couldn't find it on my original channel. Searched and found my "new" channel, with the one video.

Can't access my original channel, other than to view it like anyone else. No matter, not like I do this for anything other than amusement and staying in touch with friends and family. I've tried uploading to my original channel, video loads to new channel.

This is the front end for my Bobber, FLS (Softail) triple trees and tins, FLH tubes and sliders. This way I can run a 1" front axle, and dual front brakes. (Brembo discs and calipers) Front wheel is 16" Conestoga 9-spoke OEM Harley, have matching 16" wheel for rear. Machining spacers to center wheel and brackets to position brake calipers... doesn't make video that is interesting to many.

There will be similarities to the rigid frame Shovelhead I built in 1995:

@roddenby51 That's a nice looking bike and honestly, I wasn't teasing you about anything... what I said was truthful :p . I've been trying to talk my wife into getting a small engine motorcycle license for a while with the goal of getting her a Vespa (it'd go nicely with her and vise-versa ;) ) but she hasn't bit yet ~_~ . As for myself - there's nothing wrong with riding a Vespa... I would try it out any day :) ! Now if you asked if I would ride one of those Chinese knockoffs that I've seen in person so many times before, I can guarantee you that my answer would be different ~_~ ...

...so I'm sorry you took what I said the wrong way :( (also that it didn't come out right)... really, I wasn't trying to do it >< !

Hey RoninK6,

I equate "tease" with "good natured ribbing" and don't mind the tease. As a young fellow we rode mostly American Iron or British Iron and "ribbing" was expected. In the early AMF years the unofficial slogan was "Own a Harley, own the best... ride a mile, walk the rest." Talk was just that, talk.

Had a 650 B.S.A. that taught me to always travel with a tarp and sleeping bag. So many unplanned camping trips, I'll never forget that bike... or a Lucas Moon. I was in no way offended by your post.

Man, that's a relief >o< !!! Teasing in this day in age can go (be interpreted) so much in the other direction... so I guess I just assumed it was that, sorry :) .

I sure wish I could strap some luggage to my Suzuki and go :p heh ... the storage under the seat can hardly even hold a quart of oil ~_~ . Although I would hope that my travels and stays would be as planned, I bet those were some fun times... even if they weren't under the best circumstances ;) .

Maybe this spring I should plan a trip up the Interstate and visit a state park... great idea :D ! Make sure I get a tune-up first, though (I don't think the bike's ever had one ~_~ ).....
