Hey everyone new to the site im screamingtroll Nice to meet ya!, Anywho im currently trying to decide between the Gopro hero 3 or the Ghost s any information would be appreciated pros and cons etc thanks in advance Troll.

Welcome to the community!

They're very close to each other and it's hard to pick a clear winner.

It basically boils down to where do you want to mount it? For the chin of bike mounting, get a GoPro, for anything else get a Drift.

I'll agree with that. It's down to form factor once you've settled on which spec (resolutions and settings) you want.

Thanks guys think I'll get the ghost cheaper and waterproof without a case has won me over lol thanks for the help.

Just to cause problems, you can't beat the GoPro Hero for £99 if you don't need to record your voice with the camera.

Take into account though dreadful issues with Ghost S especially the rear stupid cover which does break very quickly.

im getting a ghost hd not the s as theres really minimal diffrence between the two in my opinion.

Personally I would say GoPro only because I find it easy to use, great editing software and way easier for camera placement

I reckon the Drift has better mounting options and looks more inconspicuous. More like a large bluetooth unit rather than a brick. Might also be a little more aerodynamic. You can get a centred position by placing it on the top of the helmet, though if you want to do a centred chin-mount, then you'd want a GoPro.

Drift is like one of the best Cam for motovlogging.
The remote control is awesome, the battery life, the profile.
And the rotating lens... So awesome ;)

That's what sold it to me, you can't mount the Drifts in the best position, the chin.

That is opinion the chin bar is quite low down on some helmets and not very good for a flip up one at all, i like the drift on the side out of the way and easy to put a mic in, pluss the rotatable lens pips it for me, all being said the go pro is more robust so better for more extreme sports.

Well obviously it's an opinion :p

The helmet ruins 1/3 of the view though.

Top of the helmet gives all the view and the side to the same eye line as you so if you do smidsy videos it helps alittle, but yeh, the case is everything on the gopro.

But then it looks weird, liek you're floating. It makes me feel ill watching that view.
fair enough i mean its each to there own, the gopro is only viable at the front without having a great big wind brake ont he side of yourhelmet.
