New Moto-Vlogger from Sydney, Australia

Hi guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself, my names Pete, I'm in Sydney, Australia, and I'm in the process of getting organised to start Moto-vlogging.

After a 5 year break from riding, three months ago I impulse-bought a Harley and haven't looked back since. One major difference I noticed going from a 250cc learner bike back then to a 1.7L Harley now is the huge gap in community on the road; it was impossible to ride past another bike back then and not exchange friendly nods, I'd be asked questions and have a chat at lights, etc.

For some reason (and I guess pretty obvious), since jumping on a Harley I get no nods, no smiles and a quick chat, nothing. I'm not heavily tattood and I don't wear patches, but I just don't get the sense of community I used to since riding a Harley.

So, I thought sharing my passion for bikes, plus my love for technology, nerdy movies and sprinkled with my twisted dark humour might make for some entertaining Youtube videos and here I am! I've just bought myself a Drift Ghost S, an external mic and a full-faced helmet to mount it to (open faced helmet + Harley exhaust + mic = garbled noise), and will be uploading my first video in a week or two.

I haven't seen too many Sydney-based moto-vlogs riding a Harley, so I'm hoping I can bring a slightly different perspective to the community and hopefully share my passions with Youtube :)

Welcome!

Good to see another NSW dude! I like harleys (would LOVE a v-rod muscle!) but ride a gpx250 - i still give a nod or wave when i go past one!

Post up your vids once your set up!

Cheers

J

What's with Aussies and motovlogging lately ;p ??! They're popping up from everywhere :p heh. Welcome to the community and good luck out there ^_^ ! Harley, though... :/ . I'd still give you a nod, too, anyways :) .....

I'll sub once you get things up and running... love those Aussie accents ^_^ !

Hope I'm not speaking out of place here as an American, but I always thought mvlogging (especially off-road) was perfectly suited for Aussies and Kiwis for the same reasons the Brits stuck you all in the middle of the desert in WWI. If you need something done that takes ingenuity, endurance, a sense of humor, and balls then things just work out better if you can find someone with Anzac spirit.

Welcome, mate. Glad to have you along, despite RoninK6's misgivings.
Huh, what did I do :p ??? Nah, it just seems like the Sydney area has blown up recently with vloggers. Good reason, too, because it's such a cool place to live ;) ! Didn't mean for my post to sound a little off :) .....

Just having a dig at you, mate. All's good.

Probably due to the anti-bikie laws up in QLD now, everyone seems to fear anyone on a cruiser style bike :(

Hehe, thanks for the warm welcome guys. Have created a new account as my name of choice was taken on YouTube.

Perhaps you're right about the anti-bikie laws, but doesn't stop me trying to say hello to fellow riders. I even got snubbed by another Harley Rider a couple of days ago! Bugger em, nothing's gonna stop me from trying to keep the spirit alive.

Will be posting as soon as there's a sunny day to finish my video intro. Will post here when I do.

Ride Safe
