Hey I'm Duck. My Youtube handle is IRLwithDuck21

I live in the hills district in Sydney Australia.

I have been riding for 11 years now. I have done well over 100,000km on the road, A Grade track day rider and generally love riding. With 3 kids now i don't get out for weekend rides or track days, but i still commute every day.

I just sold my Aprilia Tuono V4R and picked up an Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 ABS\ATC. My previous bikes before that were RSV1000R, SV1000S, GSX-R600 and VTR250.

I have started vlogging because i just feel like talking to people about something that i am passionate about. I have seen a number of people do it in online gaming and thought i would do something simular

My camera setup is a GoPro Hero 3+ Black. At the moment i only have 1 helmet mount top\middle. I want to work with some more attachment points on the bike and in with some friends getting some content on a 2nd gopro on a stick from a car. I am very new to this so i am still trying to work out how i get voice into my videos without recording it later. Perhaps i will find some good tips here.

So at the moment i have stationary bike review content with voice and onboard content with no voice. Really looking to join the 2 and start getting more indepth with editing.

Welcome Duck :D
You will find that the motovlogging family is very much like a family. We are all brothers and sisters that are very much willing to help with anything we can.
As for the mic situation you are having, there are mics that you can buy and put inside of your helmet. These are called Lapel mics; just small ones about two centimeters in length. Personally, I used a small desktop mic which fit perfectly into it. I also bought an adapter which converts the end of the microphone cord to one that fits into the gopro.

Adapter:

Here are a few mics that you may find useful:

Hope this helps mate!

Wow dude that is the exact information i am after!!! So basically i can get that adapter and mic for almost nothing. Then i will just follow the guide on how cut out the wind noise.
I will have to see if i can find a skeleton housing at a local shop then i will be set.

Super pumped to get into it. Just need to get my skillz up with editing. I did those 1st few videos with the GoPro editor, but i have Sony Vegas Pro, but i have only installed it and haven't used it. Need to learn how to blur out speedo numbers and licence plates if need be.

Thanks heaps man and yes the community seems to be really nice so far. I gave up online gaming recently and have been floundering trying to find something that i am passionate about. I have always loved riding and now i can make movies and give something back to the riding community.....i think i have found a new hobby.
