Private forum for confirmed vloggers

It would be good to have an invitation only section of the forum as a place to privately bitch/moan/rant/discuss/plan outside of the public eye.

Not sure how you would go about approving submitters to it but it would be nice to have nonetheless.

Similar to that provided by most networks (But for us peasantry)

Half the people on here, and on the Facebook pages etc are not vloggers and when there a few pages saying Motovloggers only, to talk about shit, its full of people just spamming there videos and they never comment on anything apart from promoting their own channel.

I wouldnt technically count myself as a motovlogger just an idiot with a helmet camera
BWAAAHahahahaha, that goes right into my signature.

So who you'll want to moan about? And how we'll choose who will get in?
There are private parts on the internet where you can moan about whoever you want but having this on a forum is kinda of a dick move. Imagine all bitching about you in a private part of this forum... Not that we have something like that here...;) I'm just sayin'

I had planned to have a section where people with 200+ posts can well, post

However these have a habit of killing off the rest of the forum

oh.. Well, maybe have a separate topic on the home page for the non scooter wavers to rant their asses off? lol

A fair bit of what I've seen in this thread would be right at home in the ThunderDome. If you want to piss and moan about something, go there. As for having a place where only vloggers can go, meh, that's a fantastic way to unnecessarily divide the community. If you want to gripe about someone, man the hell up and do it in a manner where they can defend themselves. 90% of what we do is in the public eye. Any conversation on this forum, that doesn't relate directly to its administration, should be public as well. We shouldn't have much to hide, else we wouldn't be airing our shit on YT.

If we had such a closed section, how do we decide who is allowed in? What are the rules. And who would be the one(s) to adjudicate? Do we need a special motovlogger approval panel. And then you'll need to handle the case where somebody is currently excluded but believes they should be included. To whom do they appeal? Do we need a higher court of appeals. And so the escalation continues. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we have Dan doing his best. Keep it simple. Keep it straight. Keep it Dan friendly.

Was simply an idea that crossed my head.

Having re-read the post, I can see how my intentions can be misunderstood. I have no intention of bitching about people. If I have a problem with someone, I would tell them directly so that we could try to resolve it. It was more an idea for surprise planning or stuff like that tbh. If that divides the community then no need to implement it. People say collaboration is key but it's difficult to voice ideas etc for fear of them being stolen.

As for an approval process, I honestly hadn't thought about it. If it's too much work to make/administer then there's no need to even consider it.

Apologies if I upset anyone, that was not my intention.

You could have an anti-scooter forum, or no nodding to scooters forum :p
Im not anti scooter, just gave up waving to them after a while of not getting any response or simply confused looks. If someone on a scooter waves to me, I'd gladly reciprocate.
