I did a review of my action camera on youtube. I can't link it yet but if you go to Istanbulrider or search for it you should come across it.

I wanted to share it because i deliberately went for a very cheap camera in order to try something different and also introduce a viable alternative for people looking on a lower budget. This camera is 70 GBP, which is pretty respectable I think. It shoots up to 1080P at 30 frames a second, lower resolutions it goes up to 50 frames per second.

Anyway, have a look at the video and if anyone has any questions please let me know.

all the best

Looks like a decent camera. I've been looking for a decent quality and cheap second camera. As for the videos, I didn't watch much of them (mostly the unboxing and bits of the vlog #1) but they need a bit of editing. chop out the filler and keep the killer.

thanks mate for comments, the first few vlogs were un-edited as i had not setup the pc or mac yet. Its up and running now so got editing in the new vids and length is down to 10 minutes per video :o)

So which vids are recorded with this cam?
all of them?

they look good man.

as for the lane splitting on the little lane...watch for punctures

Thanks mate, they are all with the camera apart from unboxing, walkaround, tyre valve, and run out of fuel. They were done with iPhone 4 as I didn't have the camera yet.

You are not wrong about punctures in the little lane, they also have dead cats, dogs, car bumpers, wheels and hub caps to watch out for!!! :o)

you sure youre not driving in south africa? we have the same things in our "suicide lane"

haha suicide lane, I will be using that one again!! After having my fingers bashed/crushed three times by the wing mirrors of over eager lane changers I decided there was less risk in that little lane. There is just too much mobile phone usage creating extremely unpredictable road usage. The hard shoulder has cameras in it most of the way so I can't use that.

Looks like Techmoan didnt like that cam

its interesting to see the review from another persons point of view but i really didn't have any of those issues with mine. there is resistance in the lens, the mounts are tight and stick very well. sound was great on mine. maybe after using for a while it will fall apart but at the moment everything is golden with mine.

Sadly... But op has different results with it

I'm confused

i will say this, before i bought it i checked reviews on ebay and there were some negative ones. i was worried the camera might be crap but i got a good one. maybe manufacturing isn't great so you run a risk of getting one thats below proper standards. i will keep people up to date with how the camera ages.

If you look after your toys, and dont abuse em, they should last.
Im a fan of buying cheap, but good quality, then making it last for YEARS to come...

Nice reveiw. Looks like a good 'starting out' Cam.
Cheers

yeah I have to say, this is definitely a starting out camera to see if it is something I enjoy and find useful. If after a while I was still going then i woudl have looked at investing in something more expensive. I have my Muvi coming for journeying anyway, so that should kind of be that more expensive and better quality item anyway.
