its funny i think, i think you have to be careful with all cheap stuff. This is a cheap camera considering the functionality and features it gives. I also think the company that made it, has an business model of selling to different countries through different re-sellers. If you are not buying from a re-seller, who provides the warranty etc, etc, and you are buying from ebay, as I did. Then you are getting a camera from some guy who probably works in the factory or knows someone who does and as such you are taking a risk as it has not been through all the checks it goes through when the re-seller gets them. Also you don't have warranty, or support or easy way of returning it.
As I said, i got a cheap camera to make sure its something I actually want to do and enjoy doing. As long as it lasts me a year I will be happy. Also I test it in the rain as is, seeing as it said it was ok to do that and had zero problems. There is a waterproof case from taking it properly under water but I dont want to buy that so glad it had no problems in the rain.
