a screen protector will help, BUT the only way to change the lense if it does break is pretty much to cry to gopro n throw money at them one way or another.

I watched a couple vids already and they all said the mic adapter doesn’t work if you do the firmware update

Probably the usual proprietary and intentional obsolescence to sell more crap, but hidden as a "bug"

i was on their support forums and sounds they will fix it in a upcoming firm ware

They will have no option to as ongoing sales of new model will fall if there is an identified issue.

id imagine its to drive sales of the media mod that they spent a heap of time making n promoting. id also assume that the market for the mic adapter is small enough for them to ignore it for the most part.

Looks like they are working on it to get the mic adapter working. So if they are gonna make it compatible I’m gonna have to decide what I want
