Welcome to Gemini

Really dig all the protection you have. R3 really looks great, very similar styling to the "bigger" kawasaki
Well originally I planned on getting an R6 and a helmet and jacket lol. I watched a lot of videos though and recommendations so I decided to spend the cash on more protective gear and get a cheaper starter bike.. my brother in law had a bad crash so my family was worried when I said I was getting a bike... if it helps my family feel less worried than it's worth it also. It's actually all very comfortable as well, minus the weight if the jacket plus air bag vest, my shoulders and traps get super sore after a few hours of riding

I gotta ask about the R6, why that bike? Almost all my non-bike friends want an R6, just interesting that so many non-bikers are attracted to that bike.

Best decision you'll ever make. Going fast on bikes is quite boring, however dragging your knee around a corner doing 30mph, knowing that if you crashed right now you would be ok and your bike would be cheap to fix, thats really the beauty of biking. PS: Just about ever pro racer I've ever met, started on a 125, as you can focus on handling not throttle position.

I worked with this one youth who asked me if I have an R6 and I was like.. no. Turns out it was said in this hip new song lol it was the only bike he knew the name of :D

Also welcome to this awesome community Gemini :)

I think the R6 is just the 600cc classic squid missile honestly. The usual argument is 300cc bikes are just too slow and you will outgrow it too quickly. Gotta have a fast bike but dont start on a liter bike lol. I had a bunch of friends that rode tell me I would hate the R3.. they were wrong. And none of them ride anymore - they all had accidents...

Thanks man I love the people here already. Yeah I think people that are new to riding think you have to have a 600 or 1000 sportbike or you just arent cool. I'll tell you what all the fastest canyon guys ride R3s or ninja 400s. And they are the coolest ones. They show you how all that power means nothing in the twisties. Heavier bike, not enough road to even use so much power. But hey 150 on the freeway am I right xD

My old instructor used to say "not to bother buying a 180bhp rocket ship as you'll not be able to use more than 60bhp legally on the road. Go buy something with less power that’s more fun"

Although when he said that I dont think he imagined me getting a 'Dullsville' hahaha

For most of my local tracks the fastest time is a 600cc, however there is always a 300cc in the top 10. Also the 300cc guys are generally much more friendly and approachable

Yeah to expand in what I meant, the fastest riders RIDE 300s, of they were on 600s they would be faster than other 600 riders. I dont mean to say they are faster on 300s than 600s

100% I totally agree with you. Was trying to say that 300cc even on a professional level are only a few seconds faster than 600cc. Personally I'd take the lower power so that I can pin it and not need to change my underwear.

Yeah I've learned to enjoy the subtlety of a 300. Just because it doesnt go fast in a straight line doesnt mean you cant have fun on it. I still have had near brown zone moments in the canyons, and I am barely pushing 60% of the bikes capability I'm sure

Hey man, I just joined up too I loove the blacked-out R3 :)
Also I wish I lived somewhere interesting like you do for my vlogs LOL
