This is my set up(s).
Mic on the Shoei is in a dead cat, just poking out of the camera side cheek pad with all the mic wire tucked behind the padding and in the strap void/hole.
Mic on the Wulfsport is poking almost out of the camera side top brow area and wire again tucked behind padding. If I have the mic near my mouth there's too much heavy breathing when I'm greenlaning because I'm fat and unfit:D.

I upgraded to the GoPPro Hero 7 Black from my Sony AS300V. Audio is so crisp. The Sena mic works so much more better with GoPro's audio processing. A little less bold than my previous setup with a camera sticking out on the front. However I do not like the off center mounting of the lens. The best thing about GoPro's is the aftermarket parts world for it. Aluminum case, lens filters, mounts etc...

Wow. You've got a lot bolted on to your lid.
Does it give you neck ache to wear it for any length of time? :D

Edit.... Just noticed that you seem to have a dead ferret inside the chin bar as well!

Yeah, it's around 600 grams of camera gear :') Neck ache, what's that? :D My neck muscles are so strong I don't even feel the difference anymore
The dead ferret in my helmet does really help to cut down on the wind noise. It's a modular helmet so I can't put everything all over the helmet to counterbalance tye weight of the gopro. But this makes it so much more accessible and doesn't get in the way if I just flip up the helmet.

CDA441, in your picture above, on the right side of your helmet (left side of pic), is that a portable power pack? If so, when you're using it, do you leave the camera battery in or out? I am moving to set up my rigs in this fashion, using high capacity portable power packs for longer duration shooting.
Thanks in advance!

Looks an awesome set up pal, loads of kit. Where did you get your ferret (dead cat) from... Ones I have bought before have made no difference or broken up at the first sign of moisture.

@FLHXSMike it's a powerbank, however it doesn't charge the GoPro for some odd reason, so I removed it and went powerbankless, I have since bought 2 new batteries to change out on longer rides.

@HRMV Thanks man! However I've upgraded my setup to a better helmet (which is lighter) and added some sugru to the front of it to mount the GoPro to.

It's a Schuberth C3 Basic but with the Blue Iridium visor, It looks BALLIN'
I think I'm going to lose the metal cage to switch over to built in filters like thos PolarPro's (but the ripoffs offcourse) to lose some weight.
Also added a Cardo Freecom 4+ and I have some kit coming in to record the voice from my mates when riding lol.

I couldn't get my GoPro Hero 7 Black to work properly on a powerbank, my 5 Session works spot on though! :-)

@HippoDrone Yeah, bummer, I hate it when my battery dies mid ride and then something cool happens :')
I also have a charger built in my tailbag for the batteries so I can recharge them indefinitly :D

Yeah, so I was building again and this is what I came up with for motovlogging with a modular helmet:

I've made the coiled wire myself, but I still need some wire clips to keep it from flapping at 200km/h.
Weight is OK, balanced, as it should be. The Anker weighs around the same as all the other things :)
Everything is mounted with double sided tape, but I've made my own mounting plates with thermoformed plexiglass and sugru. They stick so good, and the fitment is nearly perfect :)
