I sometimes do a web search to see how much presence my stuff has and I found several of my videos on that website.

I have done a little digging and what I have found is not looking to good. It appears the website is reposting content from several folks, some are members of this forum.

I tried to reach out to them but their contact page is broken. I checked their terms of service screen and it reads they are in America but when I searched online for the ICANN registration, I found the website is actually registered out of Russia? Seems the site was created around Jan 20 of this year?

Here is the kicker, it looks like if the video is viewed through the website, it does not register the data via YouTube. Also, there is not a way for the viewer to directly access YouTube and/or subscribe.

I have a couple of videos due to be released. I am going to tweak the allowing embedding setting to see if it keep the ESfile.net site from ripping it off. I tried with the videos that are already there but they still played.

I found a few of mine on there, I'm torn between annoyance and flattered since I'm a nobdy, but the links are all broken so I guess they just like my thumbnails.

I noticed the videos load slllloooooowwwww. It looks like it basically just ripped my whole profile? I clicked on my name and it had my information from the About section of YouTube.

I did an edit and ESfilms.net reflected the edit almost immediately. However same does not seem to apply to individual videos or their descriptions.

They may have downloaded your videos, just to be sure they can keep them.
Might want to start vlogs with a sentence similar to "Only brought to you via youtube" or something similar, to point out to the viewers, that they might be looking a pirated video. Then again, when has something like this stopped piracy.

Hmmm, no options on there to remove any content from there. If you right click on the videos it looks to give you the option of watching on youtube

Thanks! I don't have right click cababilty at the moment. Plus, how many folks will do that so we get the view count and subs?

I tested one of very early videos that had only one view. I let it play through on their website and the count still shows only 1. I will check it again tomorrow to be sure.

if you watch the same video on youtube when logged in does the count go up on your own video?
You mean logged into YouTube via the browser or application?

Yes, they do. I have one I have never published to the public or shared and all three of those views are me from either my PC or Smartphone.

Looks like just another website offering youtube in a different language.

There are literally thousands of them. The videos will be streamed straight from youtube, thats why the edits show up instantly.

If you check your analytics you will see views from Russia when you watch a video on this site.

Are yours showing if you watch one through that website?

I haven't looked to be honest.

Also remember if this site has purchsed a licence from youtube to display content, which many do, particually in China, you agreed to it when you signed up.

  1. For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your Content. However, by submitting Content to YouTube, you hereby grant YouTube a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, publish, adapt, make available online or electronically transmit, and perform the Content in connection with the Service and YouTube's (and its successors' and affiliates') business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels. You also hereby grant each user of the Service a non-exclusive license to access your Content through the Service, and to use, reproduce, distribute, display, publish, make available online or electronically transmit, and perform such Content as permitted through the functionality of the Service and under these Terms of Service. The above licenses granted by you in video Content you submit to the Service terminate within a commercially reasonable time after you remove or delete your videos from the Service. You understand and agree, however, that YouTube may retain, but not display, distribute, or perform, server copies of your videos that have been removed or deleted. The above licenses granted by you in user comments you submit are perpetual and irrevocable.

Hmmm, sounds fishy. Kind of like the guy that steals your bike from the parkING lot saying the owner of the lot said they could have the bike.

So far since I have started the channel I have not seen a website host a video I have not posted myself or was directly related to a bike I reviewed, like a forum.

I got a video coming out where I walk the viewer through a few things that are not adding up with this site.

what the hell, my profile has been aggregated as well, all info, pic even comments from my videos. Not sure if I should be flattered or annoyed.

Strange how I can not do any searches on that site. Not one thing comes up.
I mean as in searching your usernames. When I search different keywords, plenty of videos come up.

Mine are still listed. Interesting that they have not grabbed the video calling them out.

When I first published that I had it so embedding was blocked. Then I switched it back to allow embedding.

What if their bot scans for new uploads and just grabs everything that allows embedding? So if we block embedding, the video is not grabbed by their bot and it does not bother to sweep back through.

I am still keeping an eye on it...

It looks like its just a youtube mirror, skinned to look like its own platform.
My videos are on there too, if you right-click on the actual video and select "Copiar la URL del video" (Copy URL for video) and paste that link into your browser it's just a direct link to the original video on Youtube.
I doubt they're making monetary gain off of our videos, if they are then really its just a matter of time until YouTube acts on it.
