I may have overlooked if this had already been posted but I wanted to share my card and get your opinions on it and the whole spam card idea? Everyone I've asked seem to love the look, colors, and theme behind the card. Only a few of my buddies give me a hard time about begging to help me grow...

Never used namecards. Never gave out anything either. I grew my channel purely through word of mouth and hanging out with people. People notice, people watch, if people like, people stay.

Im considering making some myself. I think its kinda fun and a great way to get your channel looked at.

They are kinda fun once I got the hang of letting them go lol.

I have a bunch of them. They are so exclusive, I've never handed any out.

It took me a minute to figure out the best time when and where to pass them out.

I love to interact with the public. Very outgoing people person so is just fun for me to hand them out and chat up someone. I needed to boost my new channel startup and the cards are a help to me anyways. I use them broadly as handing them to
That preteen that just loves anything with an engine in hopes he will be a future respectful rider.
I stick them on other parked motorcycles around the area to try find people to ride with.
When I shot my friends drag car he went to a race that weekend with 5 cards and all he had to do was hand those 5 out and tell them to watch his( poorly made my first interview) video and I have 20+ people wanting me to shoot their race cars already .
That girl at the gym.... Yes my wife knows.....
And it's just plain fun to hand them out to all those people who stare and/or interact with me on the road.

I have a card I hand out to folks if we chat a bit first. I just don't give them out all willy-nilly. However, I might just go nuts and run around throwing them at folks like random.

I figure worse case scenario is that the news will not cover my arrest and dragging off to the looney bin.

I've already been front page local news paper so not really worried about that. Looney bin I could be with my kind so that's not a concern really either.

Ha! That is good. Yeah, folks sometimes forget it is a crazy world...

Yes, just most people have to see that I'm crazier than most hence why everyone has always called me "Krazy" or "krazyoleman"

But the past is the past and I'm a big family loving hermit teddy bear now. I try and get along with all

Yea I have friends complain my name is to long but thats who we are and what I'm about plus had same email for like 100 years. I use "krazyoleman" on my older stuff but wanted to have more of a family atmosphere and involve the wife and kids in my YT so it just fit.

I've used no end of usernames over time but I did settle for chriswallace959. Have the name on twitter, Facebook url, Instagram, Steam, Xbox Live, Uplay etc etc. Just need to get yt url changed

Unfortunately, by my own preference, I am anti-spam, thus, I don't spam, and not in favor of spam method.

I don't dispute how effective spam is, but there's always a positive and negative, always take both into consideration.

As what @Reize mentioned, I prefer to let people watch or sub or share on their own free will. I appreciate quality over quantity.

There's no point to grow without substance, like a hollow tree without the inner support. If your subs base is mostly just subbed because you spammed or begged them, not really because they're even interested, you don't really get the audience retention, the proper following, etc. That's what I feel anyway.

I am not saying to not grow, or not grow fast, it entirely depends on what you are looking for.

Good luck in your venture, and hope your objectives are achieved!

Way I see it is all the big channels have a million subs. Their vids get 250k views. 1/4 retention. And not all those views watch the entire video. If I get to 80 that's only 20 people who enjoy my vid. And that's where my view numbers are. I don't and never have wanted to be famous. I am however well known in my area for the cars I've had in my life and being that one guy at the cruise or burnout competitions. And now I'm just looking for people who would want to enjoy being in my vids with me if it be hanging in custom auto shop or sharing their cars or going on rides with different people I wouldn't have with without YT. I'm just in the stage where if I want the channel to work I feel I have to advertise it. If it grows it's getting attention. If one of four share me with someone else that may do something similar and gains me that one honest sub that's what I want. If you don't grow or have any action at all on your channel you will eventually quit. I know 25 people I have talked to in last few weeks here that have had a channel and it's now stale or non existent.

I keep some in my wallet when I have a conversation with someone. From time to time, the topic of me having a channel comes up and I give them a card to check it out.

Natural relationship / bond and introduction.

I don't just throw them at people :D
