So I was turning into the bike shop today and see a Shadow 1100 laying down. I pull in and hop out the truck to see 3 guys standing around it staring at it. I ask if everyones ok and they say yeah. I ask if they need a hand picking it upand they all say yeah. I say ok lets do it. They say ok. I then proseed to pick it up myself with no help from them..
Now this is my way of looking at it.. If I drop my bike I pick it up. If Im in a situation where I need help we all pick it up. Not once have I layed down and sat back as somebody picked my bike up for me.. even when I crashed and compressed both wrists, fractured my shoulder blade, got whiplash and bruised my elbows. I still took all the brunt of the bike I could while WE picked the bike up.
These guys were young, the guy that laid it down said he was ok and after the PD showed up he rode off no problem.
Am I wrong for thinking its at least partly your responsibility to pick your bike up when you laid it down and youre able to help??
