Who uses the TomTom Bandit camera?

Hi all,
Just wondered if any members are using the TomTom Bandit, it's now discontinued but they are still around. I like them because of the battery life, shape and weather proof ness (is that a word?).

The whole body rotates 360º within the clamp, and the image can be flipped 180º so you can get a horizon at any angle. It's also waterproof as is with a dive lens on.

Sounds pretty good. Does it have an external microphone socket?

Yup at the back you plug a socket in that goes to a 3.5mm female jack.

You said it had good battery life, how long does the battery last, and can you remove the battery or is it fixed?

The battery goes in the back, lasts for about 3 hours, when you remove the battery it plugs straight into a USB port for downloading video, the micro SD card also plugs into the battery housing. Loads of reviews and such on the Web.

I had one. It was heavy for what it was. I didn't really get on with it. Too fiddly and the associated app wasn't very good
