which camera gives everything

Most come with built in mic unless you mean external mic, in that case its very very rare to find one with external mic new. Some do come with sd cards, but normal under 8gb which is not great for vloging. If they do come with all those options they will be over the $300++ mark.

internal mic? can you give me examples

The Drift Ghost and GoPro Hero 3 have microphones built into the units. They can be used to record audio without a wired microphone, like engine/exhaust sound while mounted on the bike.

I bought my Drift Ghost from an E-retailer with a 32GB microSD card and a bunch of cleaning stuff and accessories.

Do a google search for shopping and see what bundles are available...

Drift cameras have built in mics, however the 720 as no hookup for an external mic and also the x170 does not. Drift HD170 stealth, ghost have external mic options. They all come with built in mic's. The 720HD are on Ebay for $100 shipped.

Contour HD as built in mic.-side note these or $100 shipped on ebay now.

GoPro's (Don't know much about GoPro, don't really like them after last one).

Those are the only brands i have used.

There are no cameras that come with everything that you will need to start motovlogging unfortunately. No matter which camera you choose, you will have to buy an external microphone. With some models this is easier than others to source microphones.

Likewise there are no perfect motovlogging cameras in my opinion. GoPro have great quality footage but are a bit cumbersome to mount on your helmet and other places. You are forever buying more mounting points. The Drift cameras are better i that they generally come with a whole range of mounting points included and are more sleek and streamlined on your helmet, but they are known for some serious hardware issues.

There are other cameras out there from Sony and Contour but I don't know much about them. Most people tend to use Drift or GoPro cameras in the motovlogging world.

Could be for any that use a mic, you normally have to buy adapters to use external mics like that (drift/gopro).

Guessing internal mics pick up everything but your voice

Here is the deal man. If you want a good set up, save your money, look for deals, auctions, refurbished cams, craigslist, ebay, amazon, ect... for the set up you want. For GoPro set up, my preference, there are some links of other motovloggers setups that are pretty helpful. Do research on the net in addition to this site to help you figure out what you want and can afford. I really don't see you spending less than $200 for a decent set up and that would be a steal. If you can't afford that, just get a cheaper camera and do your best with the built in mic, it does pic up some sound.

If you don't mind having the camera inside your helmet, go old-school and get the cheapest GoPro you can find. Rest it on your chin-bar and teach your nose to hold it in position. Rewarding it with cookies works best. That's how I started out. If you're willing to wait and save a little, get a newer version of GoPro (one with mic input (HD Hero2 and newer)) and adapt the casing to allow a mic input., and mount it on the outside of your helmet.

$29.99!!!! what the f***!

This is a massive problem with some suppliers of accessories, by putting a name like GoPro with cheap crap they think they can increase the price 30 fold.

This exact microphone can be bought less then $1 a piece!

How do you fit that battery unit thing in your helmet?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.

My helmets are a Motocross Aria and an Icon Variant, both have a sun visor and I just zip tie it underneath with the extra mic cable.

Please post a link where I can get this for less than $1! Maybe I got ripped this time, but if I need a replacement in the future I will go the cheaper route if it is in fact the same.

Wholesale starting at $0.80/unit
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/71700 ... esign.html - min order of just 1
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/37162 ... ories.html -min order of 3000

Wholesale and consumer use $2.20 for single unit and free delivery
http://dx.com/p/flexible-neck-mini-micr ... jack-72801
http://dx.com/p/hyundai-soft-neck-lapto ... phone-4468

And yes as you may have noticed they are all exactly the same design.

If you guys would like, I could purchase $2000 worth of microphones, GoPro hero 3 compatible 3.5mm adapters, mounts, anti fog inserts etc. Basically all action camera compatible accessories and sell them on at just enough to cover expenses and keep stock high. That would mean you could purchase half of rage cams items for 10/20x less.
