i'd never even heard of the term motovlog until a few months ago when a youtube subscriber said he thought i had an unusual style of vlogging so had to google it.
eventually joined the forum here to learn more and starting to think i'm not really making motovlogs at all. my ride vids were just done for my mates to enjoy but seemed to collect a following and just randomly developed from there.
i mostly add my comments after the ride, and only do small bits while actually riding.
i don't use a helmet mike, but use a chinbar mount and skeleton door on the gopro for audio.
i create fake ads to drop in here and there and the occasional motocross meme.
i'll take my favourite comments from youtube subscribers and put them in a 'quotable quotes' section.
there is always music in the background (but kept low key).
all of this seems to go against the trend of a true motovlog being more of a spontaneous onboard experience and it's got me wondering if i should try moving closer to what the best motovlogs do?
