Wheelies!! Whats Your Opinion?

I love some wheelies.
And, to be honest, I wheelie a lot (even in the city, sorry :( )
But I don't put all my wheelies on my videos because some people hate it really hard.
Sometime, I'm editing my video and I realise that I'm such a douchebag to wheelie in a danger zone.

And for the sake of it, here a picture of me during my wheelie :

i'm still learning to wheelie and everything else thats stupid :p
and yeah i absolutely love it and i cant wait to master it lol

Hey guys! So recently I have started to get better at second gear clutch up wheelies, and I know people are all for it or all against it. So what do you think? Do you enjoy/support guys who practice the art of wheeling bikes or are you against it? And PLEASE elaborate why you think what you think!
Thanks and ride safe!
If you can't clutch up 3rd gear / 4th gear wheelies on a r6 then your doing it wrong.600's not the bike to learn on, or even attempting to understand the concept of using the rear brake. If you are serious about mastering wheelies, Sell the r6 and buy a stunt bike. ORkeep the r6 and buy a stunt bike. Be prepared to crash many times learning and most likely break bones..no cheaters way too it. Some people can never get good at it. some can.

They are 2 wheelies :
The little one where you lift the front wheel a bit;
And the balance point wheelie.

I'm ok with the first one, but the second one is too dangerous int the street IMHO.

If you have to do it then do it away from the public, No-one wants to see you show off and possibly take a dive in front of traffic.

yeah, i've never even considered doing them on public roads, thats why my wheelie practices are being put on hold untill i find a decent wheelie spot

i have a video of cops driving around on my last one and im not going there again lol

haha yeah don't want to take that risk!

haha yeah don't want to take that risk!

but theres just no long straight empty roads round here lol..all twisties:/
(who thought a rider would ever complain about having too many twisties lol), but its true, i live in possibly one of the worst places for learning wheelies xD

Hmmm Guys i dont know....every one says "do it on a quite road..." but is it not secretly the point to show every one how skilled you are with the bike...

I have to admin, when i see a rider pull away and pop a little front end lifter, i have to have a bit of a grin.. and think to my self...flash git..but damn he did look cool.

By the way i cant wheelie for shit, cant even get the front end up...but then i have a CBF600 NA (think it stands for Chubby Big Fucker..)

The reason i would want to though is because it is another element of bike riding which requires control and skill, much like knee down and cornering ect....

If you are pulling a full on wheelie and keeping it up whilst riding towards ped's or on coming traffic, then yeah your being a dick...fine line i guess

If any one can remotely pull a wheelie on a cbf600 NA , let us know what the trick is..

I appreciate a good wheelie. That being said, I never do them anymore. Why? Well, I don't like hospitals and repair bills.

I like them, when I learn to do them, I won't ride any more, I will wheelie trough life.
It shows a good deal of motorcycle control and, like it or not, it's part of the motorcycling skill set.
I'd rather watch wheelies on a public road than the occasional idiot trying to show off by doing burnouts, hitting the rev-limiter, riding fast with a loud exhaust (and crappy bike) or doing anything that takes little or no skill at all.
I cannot do them, just tried once and did not get much of the front end to raise because I don't know anything about wheelies. And I don't want to try to learn the skill having no idea. It'll take too many attempts and it over-stresses many components of the motorcycle.

I actually did a whole motovlog about this. IMO if you are doing wheelies for yourself because you want to, then great, if you are doing it to show off, that's dumb
