Wheelies!! Whats Your Opinion?

Hey guys! So recently I have started to get better at second gear clutch up wheelies, and I know people are all for it or all against it. So what do you think? Do you enjoy/support guys who practice the art of wheeling bikes or are you against it? And PLEASE elaborate why you think what you think!
Thanks and ride safe!

I'm not necessarily sure what you are asking but I would just like to say that please save wheelies for the track, I wish that it was legal but police officers can be quite stingy and will charge you with reckless driving, which is a Class 2 MISDEMEANOR.

I can understand if you are riding a trail bike and you need to lift the front wheel over something, but really not that fussed on people doing them on the road. I have seen far too many serious crashes from people doing them in city traffic...

In my view if you can pull and hold a wheelie then you are in control of the bike - or on the egde of lol. If you can do it fair one. If your doing it while filtering through traffic then good effort but fuck me thats a silly place to do it. All depends on the situation and location. Im just scared of over cooking it and smashing up my baby. You do look bad ass though lol.

Well, I would love to learn how to wheelie my bike, but, being that it is about over 700 pounds dry weight, I am not sure I would be able to get it up to do a wheelie. :) Maybe on a lighter bike, but I wonder if it is even possible with a monster of a weight of a bike with mine. LOL

Haha yeah your bike is not made for that stuff! But your bike is AWESOME :D

I think wheelies are awesome, it shows good control of your bike. I look at it the same way I look at speeding or anything like that, just dont get stupid with it and you'll be fine. Far as I'm concerned when no ones around the road is my playground :D

Its easy on a bike that power wheelies do it off the throttle and just keep your rear brake covered :p practice on a push bike.

LOL, yep, it is not made for it, but thanks :) I will eventually get a sport bike, and it will probably be same color. :)

Im sure you could do it on yours....

Me, i save it for the occasional addrenaline rush on a quiet road, but mostly keep it for the trail bike in the bush.
The Police hate it, and in my country, its a suspension of licence for 28days.
Also the more people that do it, the more the police will get ordered to do more pull-overs of ALL riders. One way of 'detering' people from continuing to ride...Sux for the rest of us, that arent riding just to be a trendy/gangster/rebel/biker wannabee...?

Just my 2c and IMO
> : )

I don't do it very much anymore. The Busa is too long and heavy compared to my super sports. I used to be on the back wheel every few minutes when I was younger. The front end gets light every now and again on the big girl though.
