So some of you know recently my ZX-6R took a shit and needed tons of work and getting a new bike was an extremely painful process. It feels so great to be back on a bike again. After my MSF course (no prior motorcycle experience) I had a bike in 7 days. after getting that bike I rode constantly putting nearly 2500 miles in 2 months. these last 4 weeks till I got my new(to me) 2003 CBR600RR Wednesday were miserable. so the question is...

What's the longest you've gone without riding???

You need any parts for your zx6r? I got a couple things I'm looking to get rid of such as forks etc...

The biggest gap for me was right after the msf course cause I hadn't finished getting my bike to run yet. So it would be weeks at a time between trying to get that damned bike to run and it would only run for a day. Once I moved and sold my car(and got a newer, better bike) my bike is my only transportation and I try to ride it everyday.

No its sold, thanks for the offer though. There was a host of problems engine was consuming oil, knocking, needed a new clutch.

The guy I bought it from fucked me pretty hard

Must be 5 or so years and counting. I'll get back on in march, when the snow goes away.

I'll keep annoying the local dealer by sitting on the bikes I want in the showroom from time to time until I can get a bike for myself.

7 month gap between my first and second bike. I had motorcycle fever real bad at the end of those 7 months!

About a year +/- a month or so.
Got my own home, with all the extra costs.
First couple of months was trying to get the bike there.
And after that he had some problems starting.

In the end we managed it, but you are going to miss riding quite quickly ;)

i got knocked of 5 weeks ago and ive got one more week till my cast comes of (broken arm/wrist) its been hell and ive resulted im making more videos just of the bike.. im back riding next wednesday 27th :)

Since getting my licence, about 7 weeks, but I was in a different country without my bike, so couldn't rather than didn't. Longest otherwise was about 3 weeks when there was snow and ice on the ground and I'd not long had the bike, so decided not to risk it.

I am currently in my longest stretch. Have not been on the bike since Jan 9th... and snowforecasts for this weekend are 6 to 18 inches. :(

Other than the first 41 years of my life, so far it has been this last week. 7 days. Looks like that number is going to keep climbing in the near future, at least through this weekend. Just not worth chancing in ice and snow.
