That is interesting ... what's the retention rate on that one? lol

Well, there is no retention guideline. There are some general suggestions from YouTube, like the thumbnail should relate to the video. It's breach of use if you like have a woman in a swimsuit on the thumbnail and then it's a video about cleaning out your fridge, ya know? If it can be related to the video you're good. Just as long as it's not purposely misleading.I didn't know about retention or thumbnail guidelines, i tend to either use dreadful puns or a one liner that is related to the video. Is that fair use?
Oh, I know. That line is just one I struggle to tow at times. I'm probably way too conservative with my thumbs.
Dude, I in no way meant that to be a call out or anything! I know you're busy. I am too.
Furreals tho ... we need to ride soon! I think both of our bikes should be cured of major ailments at this point.
Meet videos make sense. That's something I haven't tried myself. But I know the huge GA meetup recently is getting decent views for several people.I'm just starting out so I dont get traffic from many sources, but I do attend some group rides/events. I posted up of video of the New England Riders Meet & Greet event and shared it on their facebook wall. It did well. Like I said, for someone with a measly 11 subs lol. I enjoyed it though.

Yeah, it was only about 3 hours from me but I wasn't able to attend, sadly. Several of the local guys, including @Skarcrow, did go though.Yea, I live up in New England and it seems there isn't many vloggers up here that I know of... Id love it if there was vlogging events closer to me. I dont mind traveling 3 hours, 3 days is a bit much...
I found this interesting ... more people are interested in the Zero electric bike than Ducatis ... or, at least, the Scrambler. I didn't expect that.

Put it this way PewDiePie has the No1 youtube channel and by a long way.
So there are 2 theories you can use here, do something similar and springboard off him, or do something nothing like it and hope for the best.
As for my own channel. Its a helmet review video, followed my my 2 falling off video's, then my randoms video.
Think my gopro vs drift one will take over shortly.
Man, i had never heard of pewdiepie, did a search on it, looked at his video history and reeled back in gross terror. by the looks of it, if i watched one of his vids it would be like rubbing my fingers in a snotty tissue. i have no idea how this guy can have 45 million subs and i think i never will. This guy must have cornered the weirdo market.
In terms of the my most popular vids that still get the most hits, it would be the install video and review i did on my bike, I actually linked the videos on forum related thread which i think started off a big trend. pretty soon every dude who had the same model bike was buying parts to do the mod install.
You give and you get I suppose.
The question is, how to you replicate that success.
Seems about the same for me.Motorcycle related - reviews are some of my highest viewed videos, behind that are how-tos and guides, crash videos, projects, and lastly, rando vlogs.
