What is this on my footage???

Never seen this before, this weird thing comes up only when i adjust the levels of the footage. It's like a clip is sitting on top of it but there is nothing, very weird, looks like all my footage for this vid has this as well

also worth noting if i adjust levels in windows media player there is no mark???!!!

ok got it, within the trimmer window click the button to the left of "preview (half)" should cycle through the different effect preview settings then return to a full application without the little preview in the corner...had never seen that before

yup that preview thingy had me tricked once too, i always leave it at best/full after that
