I watched my Fazer from the cab of a low-loader. Turns out my dealer incorrectly riveted the chain, which decided to depart the bike on a 65 mph overtake. Not what I expected from my camping holiday in the Lake District.

Because of my work schedule, I can't make it in until Saturday.

There will be words said. This has caused me quite a few financial issues. Living on an NHS Bursary isn't easy, especially when a new chain is more than my monthly income. Nevermind the transport costs I'll have to pay for someone to take it there.

It will probably be off the road until I qualify later this year.

Bummer. I'd call them and inform them politely that they need to come and get it and that they might want to consider your out of pocket expenses before you speak to your solicitor.

Went in today and they were very apologetic. Apparently, they're going to make arrangements to pick it up tomorrow and check for any damage it may have caused. Things are looking up :)

Put on a new mirror and discovered that the other one needs replacing, too... the wife says no more money into the bike for now ~_~ .

$$$

I switched from commuting to business use and the insurance went down. Theory being, you're less likely to use your vehicle at peak times. Worked on both my car and my bike.
