I would mainly use live audio, because it shows you riding and talking.
Using a voice over is when you are doing fun stuff on your bike and give some commentary on it.
For example: I'm talking about traffic and how bad it is, but not for me because I ride a motorcycle and can split lanes. That's when I'd use live audio.
When I'm offroading (which I never will) or am dissecting a clip, then a voice over is okay.
But who am I to say whether you sould use live audio or a voice over
Yeah, it all depends on the style of the video. It throws people off if they are seeing a first-person view and getting audio from post. In those cases doing ADR is something only the pros can do properly. If the video has a bit of polish to it and angles that are not first-person, recording audio later can work just fine.
