I only just realised the other day that I had joined this site about 3 years ago, so I logged in again and changed my username to match my youtube name. I could probably get away with the basic package of 1 HD upload a week considering I'm not a prolific uploader anyway, but remember, I think Vimeo's HD is classified at 720p on the basic account and you need plus or pro accounts for the option to show your videos in 1080p.
I upgraded to the plus account anyway, my thinking was, well, if youtube is paying me ad revenue for my videos then that can pay for the upgrade. Btw, I switched from an Adsense to a Fullscreen contract as they pay a little better IMO.
I know the site looks a little sparse, but I like it that way, it's far less messy looking and easy to work out what to do on there. I also like the videos they have in their Help section that covers many of the main video editing software suites out there, so you'll know what the best rendering options are for your video before uploading it.
As Shirou pointed out, having a niche site just for moto-vlogs would be quite restrictive, but at the same time, it's probably already a niche site, being as most of the stuff on there is for amateur/semi pro video producers. That's not to say we can't fit in over there too, just abide by their T & C's and don't piss people off and you'll be fine!
