So here it is at last:

(Yes I figured out that combining 720P and 1080P and exporting as 1080P leads to tiny videos. I'll change that for next time round.)

Hopefully it's not too terrible haha!

You seem to be pretty comfortable talking to the camera.. Although your mic could need some more wind noise reduction.. I'm also having that problem, so ye :P Still trying to figure out a way to reduce wind noise...

Congrats with the first motovlog. You're doing great for the first video. Looks like you've been talking while riding a lot :-D

I don't know why but me personally I don't like when "helmet area" is on the left side. I feel uncomfortable when I'm watching videos with that camera position. But I'm pretty sure it's my problem :)

Keep going and doing the great job, man.

Awesome video and that VFR is a monster of a bike. It definitely is one of my favorite bikes.

I love it. Your bike is amazing and your roads look like a dream.

I wish I had the confidence to talk the way you do.

Which microphone are you using? I'd try to add an extra wind screen (I have two on mine).

Great first video!

Editing wise, looks good, I like your in and out clips!

hello fellow motovlogger canadian,u got the confidence to talk, thats all that matters, editing will come with time.

Nice now I got a lot to live upto on my first attempt. love what you did with the intro and outro looks awesome and will need to get my talking going like yourself.
always loved the VFR too my dad had one back in the 80's and loved it (even if it is a completely different version :P).

I am glad you enjoyed the video!

Yeah. Now I need to think about an intro.

I JUST came up with custom icons for Youtube.

So many little steps to improve! :)

Have you checked out snowcatxx87's intro? It's nice and simple, and uses some unique music. On your latest video there's your logo/icon on the bottom left. You could use your DJI Phantom to do a 360 shot of your bike in an empty parking lot and put your logo on top fading into black with the logo standing out. Make it around 7-15 seconds and you'd be golden!
Just a thought :D

very good vlog for a first time. i subscribed. i think in time you will be one of the best. you spoke very clear and was a great way to show yourself. dont be afraid to crack some jokes

Hey bro with the 1080 intro and the 720 footage. You can either scale your intro down to 720 or scale your footage up to 1080. I'd strongly suggest scaling your intro down to 1080. If you use adobe premiere here is a decent tutorial on it:

Whoops I meant to say scale your intro down to 720

Thanks for the tips! I made a second video and it ended up all wonky due to the camera positioning. I've ordered up some additional camera mounts to get it orientated properly and I've switched the default on the camera to 1080P 30FPS so that should solve the formatting issue.

Thank you for the feedback! I've been swamped with university projects and exam prep, but I'm hoping to have my third video up by Wednesday next week. I recently did a project where I had to edit 4hrs of footage down to 2 minutes, so I've had some good practice working with Adobe Premiere Pro. I speak to strangers for a living so talking to people hasn't been difficult for a number of years, but I'll try to crack some more jokes lol. You've also given me some ideas for a topic: Fear of public speaking!

I think it's because we're used to seeing the traffic on the opposite side of the road. Right side view blocks that out.

Just a personal preference, but I'd rather see a video synopsis or title at the start so I know which video I'm watching. Consider shortening the logo to 5s and put the facebook address in your description. Use cards and annotation if you want to link other videos/playlists, subscription highlight, or other stuff.

Nice video man! I like the intro, very slick. I'm a new motovlogger too. I think you are going to have to mess with the mic a little to reduce the wind noise. Either that or don't go over a certain speed when you are talking.

Once again, thank you for the feedback. I've relocated my GoPro to the front of my helmet twice now in different configurations. The first gave me those weird black bars, and since the new adhesive mounts finally came in the mail, I've been able to properly mount the camera. I also recorded a bunch of footage today but it appears my 3$ microphone is pining for the fjords and has gone on to meet its maker which is likely a dead parrot. So it may be awhile before I'm able to post a video with actual speech. I may make a mini montage and put some funky music to it though.
Again, thank you for the feedback!
