...something looks strange with the video part of this vlog 
... did you use Google's image stabilizer on this video ? Especially at the beginning before you get going, the picture looks all warped in places. Or could it be the camera ? Hmmm 
.....
Anyways, when I ride at night, I just leave my tinted visor part way open so that if I needed to look at something quick, I can just raise my head and see . Of course I have a clear shield, but I'm so lazy when it comes to that I don't even bother ~_~ .....
