Traded in two wheels for 3

I have ridden motorcycles for 40 years. I am 47 now. I had an accident last January. I have the video on my YouTube channel of being rear ended. I recovered with a little pain and managed to avoid surgery, tore acl and mcl in left knee.

I then purchased a 2021 Harley Davidson Road Glide and loved it, rode it to Sturgis last year and put about 14k miles on it in less than a year. Well, I started to notice pain in left knee when I would come to a hill stop or a decline stop. I take my misses me on rides and didn't feel comfortable with a passenger and even myself with the knee problem.

So I sold the 2 wheels and bought a 2022 Harley Davidson Tri Glide GI Enthusiast model. I am a retired Navy Veteran and the paint scheme suited me and I still work in a Veterans role helping Veterans after their military service. I know some of you will dissect my decision to buy a 3 wheeler, and others may be able to see my reasoning.

This keeps my knees in the breeze and I am loving the hell out of it right now. I am making some videos on the transition and for me the tie was right.

Sorry to hear about your off, that sounds like it was pretty painful, and sadly to have had long term consequences.

The trike seems a great solution to keep you out in the breeze, that one looks quite the beasty too! 'grats on the new steed

Sorry to hear about the rear ending. I had a nurse rear end my bike in 2019 and it was not until several months later did my left shoulder decide to form adhesive capsulitis. So I can relate to the delay in your body letting you know that something was not right.

That GI Enthusiast paint scheme looks really good. The only other model is the Pan America. When I saw them I wondered who H-D was marketing towards with each model and now the Tri-glide makes sense.

I have to say 14k miles on the RG in one year is great! Was it the Limited? I ask because I have been considering several bikes as my next beast and that is on the list. Which RG did you have? How did it work out other than the knee?

Finally, where are going to mount the machine gun(s) on that new sexy machine? :D

BTW, love that shirt - for those of use that were kids when that was a show...

Sorry about the accident - but that new tri-glide looks great! I saw one in person recently, and the color really stands out in a crowd [in a good way!].

I've been watching your vids - I'm RoadReality on YT - good stuff.

I know that my 2-wheel days are limited as my joints get worse, so a 3-wheeler will eventually be in my future, so I am keeping track of what others are choosing and why.

That HD trike looks stunning, never seen that paint scheme before!

Two wheels or three wheels, it's all in the open air and its all biking to me.

How is the feeling on riding on something like this, compared to two wheels. Do you get the feeling that you're going to tip it over, in the twistier roads?
