Track day tyre pressure

The ones i went on no, did one at mallory and left the tyres at what the owner put them at and he said he just ran normal psi for them (Supercorsa's)

I have heard of people doing this, but only usually when they have sticky tyres on a track-only bike. If you're just using road tyres, I'd just go with what you usually ride at.

A lot of people I've spoken to about tyre pressures all pretty much said lower it by 2-3 psi per tyre. Never done a track session so couldn't really speak from personal experience.

so its almost the opposite of a car then?

Cause track days with my car i beef up the pressure. Then drop it when i go home (for comfort, bitches love comfort)

Well they had a guy who said this 'Ride with road PSI and you're riding on balloons' - That's enough to shit me up anyway lol.

Some tire manufacturers will actually have psi recommendations on their website. I think Michelin even has recommendations for some particular tracks.

You definitely want to lower the pressure some for a track day. The tire at a lower pressure will heat up faster and have more tire in contact with the tarmac. For instance, my bike recommends 42 psi for everyday riding and I lower it to 32 when I'm going to be cornering hard. I know some guys that run even less than that! The only downside to lowering the pressure is that the tires will wear much faster.
