I agree, If a members is constantly trying to contribute to the community and puts in the work.....their effort should be recognized. Lottery based system may decrease a members likelihood to contribute more content! just my humble opinion though

I acknowledge your sentiment, but the Top Poster has two chances at winning, we draw numbers 1-6, 1 & 6 being the Top Poster (excluding myself and Dan), so while the Top Poster may not win every time, the top poster will invariably have the spotlight more often than not.

If you guarantee the highest poster a spot, then you also risk post whoring rather than sensible contribution, and we've been down the post whore route before, it's not a thing of the past, and the forum is a MUCH better place for it.
