Thoughts On Plasti-dip

Just like with the vinyl wrapping, its adhesion is only going to be as good as the quality of the painted surface it's applied to. Also blemishes such as chips, tend to show on the surface of the vinyl also...

Vinyl wrapping they only rub the surfaces over, to completely clean, remove surface contaminants and dirt etc, probably much like plasti-dip.

As a tip use Brake Cleaner to remove the DIP.

Thinking about removing the Plasti-dip this winter and reapplying once its a bit warmer. I need to figure out how to get it so it doesn't rub with the metalizer.

I never liked plastic dip, but I understand why other people do.

I just hate having to worry about it, especially on the bike one rock could ruin everything.

I found after one of my trips that a rock had torn through the blue and chipped it back to white, I was pretty happy that I had the dip on otherwise I reckon the rock would have scratched / chipped the paint. Though as you say I did have to remove it when I got back because that one rock ruined everything!
