This seems to be a spot for bike pictures. So behold, my bike. Only nice comments please! I suspect she knows how to read.

At Hell Grill, near Trondheim, 2017 summer. The spot I named my, first ever, travel series after.

And a slightly closer look, for those who like to admire big engines.

For anyone interested in the statistics:
It is a Honda Valkyrie, from 1997.
Engine is 1520cc flat six. Originally it had 72kw and 130nm. Who knows how much is left, but it is plenty. No need to shift down, for 100-150m overtaking, with 2 people and fully loaded cases.
Riding it feels like you're sitting on a couch. Maneuvering in tight places is really annoying, even though it weighs only 340kg. So almost a third less, than new Goldwings.
Cases came with the bike. They each hold 5kg of goods. So beer run is totally doable. It also had a windshield, when I bought it. Good thing about windshields is, that they are removable. I did not wait long, to use this magnificent feature. It felt as if I had stepped out a convertible, on to a motorcycle. I can now fully enjoy the weather.

Bike looks awesome. What sort of mileage do you do on it annually?

I've only had it one full season, and an autumn before that. Last year I drove about 8000km, not sure exactly. 2700km of that, was on the trip, the pictures are from. My seasons varied a lot with my previous bike. I have ridden as little as 2500km in one summer too. But 8000 is the longest season so far. I doubt I'll top that next year, because I do not have any long trips planned before 2019

Those are sweet bikes! Not a lot of people know that they had more power than the Goldwing bikes with same engine.

I heard it is due to having more carbs, but I think it is the name that did it. (Let me know if she reads that and does not get mad).

Goldwings have 2 carbs, Valkyries have six. I'd say that might do it But on paper goldwings have the same kw. I think it is the responsiveness, that is different.

That engine is huge, love the flat 6. Incredibly good looking for a 97. Very nice!

It does look good, from a distance, but it has its share of scratches, and even a spot of rust on the rear wing (common problem). I will need to have it painted sooner or later.

She is 20 years old, I think a little scratch around the edge adds character.

I am not going to argue with that. but rust definitely has to go. And I can't really only paint one detail, it would stick out.

If you mean the Norway trip, then absolutely. So far the best trip I have been on. However I will try to match that with some future ones.
