Serious The importance of changing gears

I have been in the saddle for 3 decades and have seen all kinds of shenanigans from a gun being pulled on me to the use of international hand gestures but this was the first.

It also shows being able to shift gears to fit the situation.

Just a safety tip - Being able to go from 60 to 0 is just as important as 0 - 60.

Glad you're okay. Getting a sincere apology is rare. The same nearly happened me yesterday only it was a mom pulling out of a school parking lot. She had a stop sign, but ignore it and nearly ran into me as she turned into my lane and ahead of me (my lane didn't have a stop signs so I had right of way). My horn and a specific finger salute didn't give her pause or reason to react to what she did.
