I Nod at all that have 2 or 3 wheels and a motor between those wheels.

I see it more of a awareness challenge, have to nod at every rider = keeping eyes peeled, concentrated on surroundings and aware of things around me.

If I don't get a nod back... meh, they could be busy worrying about a taxi or other nuisance.

I always mistake a scooter for a sport bike from far and when I wave they look at me like wtf LOL

I don't get annoyed when other bikers don't nod because I figure they're probably concentrating on something or they're not aware of the biker nod.

The same trends seem to be universal, Harley riders and goldwings don't nod, do I care? - Not one little bit
