I' m coming out of New Orleans area if anyone wants to meet up along the way. First time for me for a meet up of this type. Looking forward to it.

Would have loved to, but already made plans to meet up with some other moto vloggers in Marshfield, MO on the 19th. And I have tickets for a show on the 18th (mrs cricket would kill me if I skipped out)

I live about 30 minutes from Clarksville, but I'm supposed to go see Korpiklaani and Turisas in Missouri on the 16th. Dang...

Will you be back in town a day that weekend? The 16th is just a dinner, they'll ride the 17th, and ride the 18th.

I think you mean "we'll" ride - or are you skipping out this year?
Right now I don't have a bike but have been searching for something for about a month now...it's kinda up in the air still whether I'll be there or not but I think I'm really close to making a bike purchase. Then I'll have to see if the timing would allow me to take the 8 day adventure!

Just a quick note to all - the winter here has been pretty harsh, and some of the road surfaces are a little "sharper" than in years past. By this I mean, the majority of roads are chip-and-seal, so the surface is rough to begin with. The surface is more coarse now than I can remember for quite some time. I just got back from a 4-day trip from the Jasper area (basically the same area as Clarksville meet-up) and totally wore out a Pilot Road 3 tire. I had 3,000 miles on it prior to Tuesday, and 1,200 miles later it was toast! Granted, I did ride sort of hard, lol.

Point is ....... if your tires are even remotely questionable - get them changed BEFORE your trip! You will be screwed if you try to replace it late on a Saturday, and zero chance to replace it on a Sunday.

Thanks for the warning! I should be good... still haven't figured out which bike I'll be bringing SV650 or WR450F, but both will have fresh rubber before then.

I may try to make it up there. But that's a lot of travel in a 2week span (with the Yummi meet during Memorial day)

Well, since My wife broke her foot, now my attendance is in question. I'll probably have to make the decision the week of.

Actually, the orthopedist made the decision for us. She's going to be laid up for at least 4 more weeks, so I can't in good conscience leave her with a broken foot and 3 kids to take care of. Sorry all, I'll be sitting this one out.
