I'm going to try to make it this year. I'm going to ride the DRZ down from KC. It would be awesome to finally meet you guys. I've been watching a lot of your videos for years.
The wife is out. She sat on the back of my new bike in the driveway and decided she wasn't going. LOL.
Dude it would rule to meet you. Hoping we both can make it.I'm going to try to make it this year. I'm going to ride the DRZ down from KC. It would be awesome to finally meet you guys. I've been watching a lot of your videos for years.
Will you be back in town a day that weekend? The 16th is just a dinner, they'll ride the 17th, and ride the 18th.I live about 30 minutes from Clarksville, but I'm supposed to go see Korpiklaani and Turisas in Missouri on the 16th. Dang...

Right now I don't have a bike but have been searching for something for about a month now...it's kinda up in the air still whether I'll be there or not but I think I'm really close to making a bike purchase. Then I'll have to see if the timing would allow me to take the 8 day adventure!I think you mean "we'll" ride - or are you skipping out this year?
I think I'll be on my WR unless the SV modifications go really quick... so you won't be the only thumperI'm going to try to make it this year. I'm going to ride the DRZ down from KC. It would be awesome to finally meet you guys. I've been watching a lot of your videos for years.

Thanks for the warning! I should be good... still haven't figured out which bike I'll be bringing SV650 or WR450F, but both will have fresh rubber before then.Just a quick note to all - the winter here has been pretty harsh, and some of the road surfaces are a little "sharper" than in years past. By this I mean, the majority of roads are chip-and-seal, so the surface is rough to begin with. The surface is more coarse now than I can remember for quite some time. I just got back from a 4-day trip from the Jasper area (basically the same area as Clarksville meet-up) and totally wore out a Pilot Road 3 tire. I had 3,000 miles on it prior to Tuesday, and 1,200 miles later it was toast! Granted, I did ride sort of hard, lol.
Point is ....... if your tires are even remotely questionable - get them changed BEFORE your trip! You will be screwed if you try to replace it late on a Saturday, and zero chance to replace it on a Sunday.
BRAAAAP!!!I think I'll be on my WR unless the SV modifications go really quick... so you won't be the only thumper
