Suzuki Gsxr Wheelie And Busted By Police On A Horse In Central London

Don't give me any more of your flannel!

Brilliant. That's a copper who doesn't like paperwork, lol.
Coppers over here definitely won't take that flannel from anyone! Every copper is also traffic police, so bye, bye bike, off to impound you go and here's a tip-slip for your owner!

I think the point about traffic police is that their cars are rigged with evidence grade cameras, whereas plod on a horse would have no evidence other than his own account of what happened to present before the court. Accidentally lifting a wheel is one thing, but a blatant wheelie is pants down and bend over, but they require the evidence as the biker could have said his hand slipped on the clutch. OK there's the helmet camera as evidence maybe, but did the biker lift the bike or did he lean forwards to the bars?

He was lucky, and the Police officer was quite generous in not arresting him and seizing his camera for evidence. Good idea with telling him to leave the camera on to show his friends the warning :)

Extremely lucky, he was doing 60 in a 20.

I don't think the copper saw the wheelie. The biker admitted to it. The copper also said that he rode bikes, I reckon it was more the case of him knowing the sound of the engine cracking up to a wheelie

Now THAT was a lucky escape! Very reasonable of PC Trotalot to let him off with a wristslap! I wonder if maybe he could have done more to 'inconvenience' the guy but let him off as a fellow biker!

Of course technically, he's banished from the square mile!! :D

He said it in his latest vid. He said he escaped being banned as the Police didn't capture the evidence, although that made me wonder why they would take the bike, if there's no evidence why seize it?

I didn't think they'd impound a vehicle unless it was unfit for road use such as defects or no insurance as the offence of dangerous driving is against you not the vehicle, unlike defects etc.

Sounds like there's more to it somehow.
