sorry i can not do any thing about that

but there should be a few videos by the riders that are going so you will be able to see some of the run
so that may help you so you do not feel like you are been left out

+1

Also if anyone posting Youtube videos could also edit my plate out as well please I'd be grateful. I was the guy on the White Gixer 600 with the Bikething Teeshirt on.

***Don't take this as a finger pointing response, just next time bare the following in mind and it will keep everyone together and more organised. It WAS a good day and an excellent turnout. Even the spots of rain that tried poking through didn't stop us***

If I had one beef it would be that for a ride that was organised in plenty of time, and personally I think that went a long way to getting the numbers as high as they were - nice move... the organisation was a little lax. No-one really knew WHO was in charge or what the plan was. Sure we know each other by username, but for those such as myself who have never met any of your guys, we were left following the heard. Because the numbers of riders were so high, it deffo needed more planning as to what and where we were meeting. The Tail End Charlies were left to catch up as and when, whilst the front-runners just shot off an left everyone. On a number of occasions, and within the initial set off, the group was split at junctions and traffic lights and as a consequence, the few 10 or so at the back ended up running around like idiots looking for the remainder.

I too have been on many rides in groups and its great that anyone can join in, learner riders right through to 1000cc bikes, but it was a bit of a mess at times. This was quite possibly due to the organisers no expecting the turnout that did arrive.

Roundabouts and filter lights – Someone who knows the route needs to be at the front and block junctions etc to let everyone through at the same time and keep the pack together, otherwise the ones at the back end up racing to catch the rest of the group up. Not a safe option. When the guys at the back have safely gotten through, the guy blocking the junction can then ride back to the front in time for the next junction/lights etc.

The ride down to and stop at Matlock was good though and took on some awesome scenery. 8-) 8-)

Not sure what happened but after we set off from Matlock to ride up to the Cat and Fiddle, we all seemed to get split up at at a set of lights that turned right. I'm sure for some that there was a right hand turn immediately after that but for some reason we all carried straight on up the hill and got split up. We pulled in at a petrol station and despite no-one having a clue where they had gone, I set off back home with a couple of other lads from Bikething and decided to make our own way home.

All in all, a great day out, coulda been a little more organised but as I've already said that could have been down to some many turning up. Awesome scenery, weather wasn't THAT bad and some great people. Would be nice to see some of you guys over at Bikething at some point but if not, might see you on the next ride.

cheers guys
