i took that class. virago 125cc was my steed. knees were above the tank, haha. I took to it fairly well. What got me was everyone in the class but me had a bike already. We went around the room introducing ourselves and telling what bike we had. I was the only one in the room that said "i want to make sure i'm good at it before i spend money on one." everyone looked me weird and gave me the "that's not a terrible idea" face.
We used some kind of 125cc cruiser style bike for our class. I actually laid mine down in some gravel and knocked off the clutch lever. The instructor laughed at me.
that's unfortunate. a lot of people dropped in my class. i'm sure the instructors saw it all the time. it only counted against you in the finial test. One guy got all the way the end of the test, within 10ft of passing the finish line and he got confused and looked back and dropped it. he was very angry and kind of a cry baby about it, even though he dropped it three or four times throughout the class. i saw him the next summer with a spyder. i feel better knowing that he chose a safer route and it probably enjoying himself.
Ah it didn't bother me, I thought it was funny too. Kinda hard to embarass me so I rolled with it, the scooter people behind me looked concerned though haha
This one has been pre-dropped with 14k on the clock, bought it for the cheapest price I've seen one go for around here. But yeahhh...I don't want to drop it or crash either way. I've done enough ass pavement sliding.
