Splitting mic between 1 devices?

So I currently have a 3.5 mic going to my drift but also have started doing some lives lately from my phone and was hoping to have the mic go into that too.

I’ve looked at 3mm splitters but they all have 1mic, 1headphone symbols on them. Surely it should just work though? Opinions please?

The splitter that splits in to separate mic and headset will not work as 2x mic splitter. You need to change the keywords you use, for searching the splitter.
Amazon finds plenty, with the phrase: "microphone splitter"

Yea, looking on Amazon, there are a lot of 2 mics for 1 device cables but incredibly hard to find a 1 mic for 2 devices cable. Hmm..

Why don't you just unplug the mic and then plug it in to the phone? Or are you wanting to record the audio in both places?
Yes, I’d like the mic live feeding to my phone, whilst also plugged into my camera to record in case any interesting moments happen I could put into a vlog as the live footage is poor in comparison

I found something on the Amazon US website called

Ancable 6ft 3.5mm Stereo Female to 2-Male Y-Splitter Audio Cable

True. You might need to use plug to plug and socket to socket adapters and in between, to make it work the way you want. Every link you add in between is a potential risk though, for getting bad connection.
You could ask your local electronics store, if they can wire you the thing you want.

Ahh yes! Whilst that’s a good idea, I might want to get an intercom at some point and that would make me need 3 mics
I am not seeing a downside. The name Moto "Three Mics" Wolf UK has a ring to it.:)

I run three in my modular helmet. One for the on bike intercom/CB radio/voice command/phone calls. The second for the camera. The third for the SENA for when I ride with folks that have it.

Now how often do I need three? About twice a year. Most of the time two works out great - the on bike setup and the camera. I run the two mic setup on my half helmet.

I was eyeing an intercom, that has a socket for connecting with walkie-talkie. I downloaded the manual and it would seem to me, the mic would be connected to that all the time. Mmade me think I could maybe use that with my camera. would need some testing though, because there was no clear statement on how it exactly works.

So I’ve given in I glued my “main” mic into the helmet(as I plan to get a new mic when I get a new helmet anyway), and attached a second mic too. I tested it earlier and yes - perfect! The secondary mic isn’t the best but it’ll do until I plan an easier option + add an intercom to make it even more cramped

Some intercoms have an aux out, so you could run a cable from that to the phone to grab the audio, some even allow you to record the audio with an app on your phone as it is paired with that generally too.
