Sony Pro Vegas 13 Preview Lagging :(

So i've used the pro vegas 13 software to edit some Drift footage.. Got my hands on the new GoPro Hero4 Black few days ago, uploaded some footage from it to vegas pro to edit but it seems to lags quite a bit in the preview window..

Anybody else experience this? I recorded footage in 1080p @ 60fps.

The GoPro records in a higher bitrate.

Try right clicking on your video in the explorer window and creating a video proxy. After doing that select the playback quality to Preview > Full to use the proxy while editing.

Probably..if you want to infect your pc with some trojan..bought my copy with the "student" discount

Once you render the video to the final version ready for posting it won't lag.

I use a very similar programme and it's normal. If it's the same as mine you can adjust the screen size....making the preview screen smaller helps too

Vegas works differently, you have to create the proxy manually.

I just hit mine with a hammer, broke the monitor but i couldnt see any lag anymore

KHG does a patch of the program and it's not a virus ... I may or may not be currently using it on my home computer ... laptop and also have set it up for a couple of friends, no issues ...

For a better workflow you could (should) be importing and converting your footage to a better editing file before you begin editing.

Funny I recently ran into this after a fresh vegas 12 install. Found I had to right click the video in editing window and choose "adjust video for optimum playback". Lag was pretty much eliminated. Without this on I had to run preview in draft mode. May also have something to do with running my editing window on 40'in tv setup as external monitor...
