So I bought a slightly used (supposedly) X3000... and after a while (too long to return it) I found the dreaded out of focus problem occurring (and getting worse) - the only bit in focus was the side of my helmet, which isn't supposed to be.

Off to the repair shop
Yes there is a problem with the insides, yes it can be fixed, yes it will be about $300 Aus (just under half price of a new one, but I'll still be a few dollars ahead), yes the supplier has the part on back order for another week or 2.

So beware, it is still a problem, and it is expensive to fix.

Backorder... did I say a week or 2... actually, I meant a month or two. I got it back about 6 weeks ago and have done a few riding tests (nothing to upload) and one maintenance vid (that I actually did upload, not sure why? maybe just for practice) - Looking great!
And new ones have been on special for a couple of months... so I could have saved time, angst & money.
Now to turn some of the plans into some sort of reality.
