So I bought a slightly used (supposedly) X3000... and after a while (too long to return it) I found the dreaded out of focus problem occurring (and getting worse) - the only bit in focus was the side of my helmet, which isn't supposed to be.
Off to the repair shop
Yes there is a problem with the insides, yes it can be fixed, yes it will be about $300 Aus (just under half price of a new one, but I'll still be a few dollars ahead), yes the supplier has the part on back order for another week or 2.
So beware, it is still a problem, and it is expensive to fix.
