Simple Mac Program For ContourROAM

Hey, guys. Any simple program for the Mac out there?

I have a ContourROAM and I can't directly import the .MOV through iMovie. I want to eliminate the process of converting.

I've used Final Cut Pro and it does import, but holy crap, it's complicated.

I just want to be able to cut, cut+paste, throw a song on it, and maybe even add arrows/text.

I use videopad, its a little basic, but does the trick.

If you have FInal Cut Pro why don't you just use that? Its not that complicated if all you want to do is cut and paste stuff and when you get the hang of the basics you can start doing more complex stuff. Which version do you have?

I have Final Cut Pro 7.0

And VideoPad is for Windows.. I'm on a Mac.

Final Cut Pro seems really complicated, tbh. I've self-taught myself on numerous programs, but for some reason, Final Cut Pro seems really complex..

What kind of problems are you having with Final Cut? Search for an online tutorial or something. That's what I did. It was kinda complicated at first but all you need to know for basic editing is how to add things to the timeline and use the blade tool to cut stuff.

i have mac, i had no issues with the .MOV file.

Download VLC and the mac codec packs

get Mpeg streamCLip for mac

install both

they may fix the bug with iMovie


i have no issues with .mov with iMovie.

final cut pro isn't hard to learn.

I have VLC and could play the .MOV on Quicktime and VLC, but iMovie just can't detect it.

I'll try your suggestions and see how that goes.

As for Final Cut Pro, I'll play around with it some more.
